NEW YORK, NY, USA - The World Trade Centers Association (WTCA) is pleased to announce that Mr. Ghazi Abu Nahl, Chairman of WTCA, and Mr. Eric Dahl, CEO of WTCA, joined nearly 90 representatives of 25 World Trade Centers (WTCs) and business delegations from North America, Europe, the Middle East, Asia and the Greater China region to attend the 18th China International Fair for Investment and Trade (CIFIT) in Xiamen, China. Organized by the Ministry of Commerce of China, CIFIT is a top international investment and trade platform in China, held annually from September 8-11.

In recognition of CIFIT as a top international investment and trade facilitation platform organized by the Ministry of Commerce of China, the WTCA entered into a strategic partnership agreement with CIFIT Organizing Committee in September 2011. For the past two years, the WTCA organized large participation to CIFIT with the WTCA Pavilion and the WTCA China Forums which featured Mr. Long Yongtu, former Vice Minister of MOFCOM and chief negotiator for China’s accession to WTO, Mr. Justin Yifu Lin, Director of Beijing University China Centre for Economic Research and former Chief Economist/Senior Vice President for World Bank, and Mr. Jia Kang, Director and Research Fellow of the Institute for Fiscal Science Research under the Ministry of Finance and Advisor of Fujian Municipal Government. “Last September, I had the pleasure to lead the WTCA delegation to attend the 17th CIFIT forum. During the program, I was honored to have met senior government and business leaders from Fujian Province and the rest of China and the world. I was deeply impressed by both the CIFIT exhibitions and forums, and glad that the WTCA organized another program for this year’s CIFIT with a WTCA Pavilion, the 3rd WTCA China Forum and a delegation of WTC representatives from all over the world. I would like to thank everyone for visiting our Pavilion and attending our Forum thus to have shared with you how WTCA can contribute to the development of China and the world. In WTCA,‘we grow trade’.” said Mr. Abu Nahl.

“It is my great pleasure to be here again in this beautiful city of Xiamen for CIFIT, the biggest investment exhibition in the world. WTCA values CIFIT to a large extent, given that it is the only international investment promotion event in China aiming to facilitate two-way investments. This year is the 3rd time for WTCA to attend CIFIT, and we lead a delegation of some 90 delegates from 25 member WTCs. With the golden key of ‘9·8’, let’s make joint efforts to enhance exchanges and dialogues for business opportunities and cooperation.” said Mr. Dahl.
