Government and WTCs for a growing economy

On friday june 11, 2014 members of the World Trade Center Monterrey – UANL visited the Mexican Federal government, ProMexico, an organism which goal is to boost international trade and support SMEs on its internationalization.

The Objective of the meeting was to seek support from them, to be able to take regional SMEs to Lima Peru, for a trade Mission within the framework of The Pacific Alliance, a mechanism of economic integration and trade in which Chile, Colombia, Peru and Mexico are part of.

The World Trade Centers of these countries, supported by their respective governments will select SMEs that meet a number of requirements to seek opportunities and close deals with companies in Peru. Handling an agenda of lectures where the topics will be of tremendous help to the SMEs such as an analysis of the current situation and business opportunities between member countries of The Pacific Alliance and Latin American exporters and importers as well as several previously scheduled business meetings with Peruvian companies.

Very positive points were discussed with ProMexico, in relation to this project, with which the relationship between the World Trade Center Monterrey of the Autonomous University of Nuevo Leon and ProMéxico of the Mexican Government strengthen their relationship in favor of the Mexican SMEs. Always searching for opportunities to increase their success and business partners all around the globe.
