TRIESTE, ITALY - WTC Trieste attended the 2016 WTCA General Assembly hosted by WTC Algiers.

The program included a plenary session in which the WTCA Directors and Staff Members informed the WTCs about the management of the association, the most significant achievements, the future plans and all participants had the opportunity to exchange ideas and comments.

There has been also an Innovation Exchange Session in which Denise Thomas and Boon Tan from WTC Arkansas, Evert Jan Schouwstra from WTC Leeuwarden, Clément Charlieu from WTC Lyon, Vincent Chang from WTC Taipei and Elena Christopher from WTC Cyprus illustrated how to apply the concept of innovation to the network based on their personal experiences.

Besides, keynote speakers have been invited to discuss topics such as e-commerce and cybersecurity and security solutions for counterfeit products in international trade.

The 2016 WTCA General Assembly gave also the opportunity to WTC Trieste to achieve relevant business results: trade opportunities have been discussed with other WTC representatives; WTC Algiers Staff and Board Members gave to all the attendants the chance to meet with Algerian companies. WTC Trieste attended those Matchmaking Business Meetings with the local companies in conjunction with WTC Metz-Saarbrücken, taking important hints about the Algerian market entry opportunities and giving on the other hand information about Italian, French and German markets as once.

Moreover, WTC Kunming and WTC Trieste signed the Commission Sharing Agreement with the aim to implement a concrete business assistance and cooperation to benefit reciprocal WTC Members.
