Nov 24, 2016

SEOUL, SOUTH KOREA - The Korea International Trade Association (WTC Seoul, Chairman Kim In-Ho) was part of the Myanmar-Vietnam Trade Investment Delegation, composed of 37 delegates from 31 Korean companies who are interested in making inroads into ASEAN emerging markets November 14 to 19.

Around 390 business meetings were held in Yangon and Ho Chi Minh City. Korean entrepreneurs actively consulted with local businessmen regarding investment and sales contracts on promising items such as cosmetics, farm equipment, generators, and LED lamps.

The delegation also visited industrial complexes including the recently launched Thilawa Special Zone in Yangon, where they delved into the cost of local investment, business operation, etc. They also had a chance to watch the Korean factories operate within the complex.

KITA plans to provide continuous supports for its member companies to have more information about the local business operation and successfully settle in ASEAN market.
