On March 17th, 2022 KITA co-hosted the 22nd Korea-Japan New Industrial Trade Conference with the Korea-Japan Economic Association. Inaugurated back in 1999, the Korea-Japan New Industrial Trade Conference served as a platform to identify possible collaboration projects in major economic sectors, investment, and trade.

Executive Vice Chairman of KITA, Lee Kwan-sup, remarked in the Opening Speech, “For years, Korea and Japan leveraged the complementary economic structure for win-win competition,” and added, “For bilateral economic cooperation to recover, the private sector must take the helm of the effort. I hope Korean and Japanese businesspeople will be able to seek new business opportunities as regulations are easing and the environment is improving.”
