WTCA Network Adds Huge Presence in Southwest China

BEIJING, CHINA - Mr. Ghazi Abu Nahl, WTCA Chairman, granted the WTC Guiyang plaque to Mr. Gang Chen, Secretary of the CPC Guiyang Municipal Committee in a major ceremony in Beijing on March 4, 2015. Approved by the WTCA Board in December of 2014, the 8 million square feet WTC Guiyang commercial complex will create a remarkable footprint of WTCA global network in Southwest China. Ms. Jiuling Xiong, Chairwoman of WTC Beijing / CCPIT Beijing, Mr. Wei Tang, General Manager of WTC China (Beijing), Mr. Scott Wang, WTCA Vice President of Asia Pacific, government officials from Guiyang city, and Mr. Yuping Luo, Chairman of Zhongtian Urban Development Group which owns the license attended the ceremony.

With a total investment of USD 1.7 billion, the WTC Guiyang project was a product of renowned architecture firm Skidmore, Owings & Merrill (SOM) which helped design major WTCs in New York and Beijing. The project covers an area of approximately 1.6 million square feet with the total construction area of over 8 million square feet. After completion, the huge commercial complex will feature class-A office buildings, international retail space, upscale apartments, 5-star hotel, recreational center, exhibition center and movie theatre

As a major city in the region with abundant resources, Guiyang has sustained a double-digit growth rate in the past five years. Supported by the global WTCA network, WTC Guiyang’s integrated solution of international trade facility and services will further provide the local business community access to international business opportunities and stimulate the regional economic development.
