WTCA Intern Spotlight: Daniella Gambino

Aug 15, 2014

New York, NY, USA - WTCA supports a comprehensive intern development program broken into three sessions per year during the spring, summer, and fall semesters. Our program keeps with our commitment to promote international trade through education, and it is designed to expand the business skills of the next generation of international-focused professionals. WTCA’s interns complete a three- to six-month program gaining insights into corporate management, international business transactions, marketing and digital programs, trade research, and corporate finance.

This summer, we worked with ten talented interns who have largely supported our efforts to better serve our Members. Today, we feature Daniella Gambino, a Business Economics student at Pace University in New York City, who has been working as a Research and Administrative intern since June.

What do you do for WTCA?

  • As the Research & Administrative intern for WTCA I get to wear a lot of hats. I work very closely with the Executive Assistant, Executive Vice President and CEO in supporting a smoothly running organization. I also conduct research on services and programs that would be beneficial to our World Trade Center Operations.

What’s been your favorite part of interning here?

  • Using Business Monitor International (BMI)! As an economics student, I love researching the business environments and economies of different countries. BMI’s comprehensive database has helped me learn so much about our WTC regions.

What are your future career goals?

  • I plan to continue on this research track! I enjoy extracting useful information from raw data and presenting it in a conceivable way. I hope to move on to the Quantitative Methods in the Social Sciences masters program at Columbia University after I finish my undergraduate degree in 2016.
