WTC Istanbul Delegation at Africallia 2016

OUAGADOUGOU, BURKINA FASO - World Trade Center Istanbul led a trade delegation of 10 companies from Turkey to Burkina Faso capital Ouagadougou for Africallia 2016 Business Meetings Forum, held on February 24-26.

Having similar structure as other Futurallia events, Africallia offered participants pre-arranged one-to-one meetings with companies of their choice from among other participants. A total of 400 participants, mostly from Burkina Faso and neighboring countries, represented 19 industries, including energy, mining, agriculture, machinery, construction, and logistics.

The event’s program started with the opening ceremony, where Burkina Faso Prime Minister Mr. Paul Kaba Thieba delivered the opening speech, and continued with face-to-face business meetings. In addition, exhibition areas, seminars, networking sessions, and social activities were also part of the event.

Africa, with a total population around 1 billion, increasing consumer purchasing power and rich natural resources, offers vast opportunities for business. In this regard, Africallia provided unique scopes for the Turkish businessmen in our delegation to do trade with African countries.

The delegation also paid a visit to the Turkish Embassy and met with Mr. Korkut Tufan, Ambassador of Turkey in Burkina Faso.
