SALT LAKE CITY (January 14, 2020) – Seven Utah companies and organizations were recruited by World Trade Center Utah (WTC Utah) to attend CES 2020 in Las Vegas as part of the World Trade Centers Association (WTCA) Delegate Program from January 7-10. The first mission of its kind developed by the WTCA, the program was a collaboration among the association, World Trade Center Las Vegas and the Consumer Technology Association (CTA), owner and producer of CES, the world’s largest and most influential global technology event.
“The companies were selected for their interest in how the industry is developing globally,” said WTC Utah’s Vice President of International Investment David Carlebach. “With nearly 7,000 tech companies in Utah, the delegation excelled in representing the diversity of the industry within our state.”
A 2018 report by the University of Utah’s Kem C. Gardner Policy Institute found that, compared to other states with similarly sized economies, Utah had the largest tech industry in terms of total employment and wages in the private sector.

As part of the delegation, the companies were invited to participate in exclusive international matchmaking sessions and received complimentary registration for the event.
