Round table on World Oil and Natural Gas Scenario

WTC Jaipur associated with MSME Jaipur , Indian Oil Corporation and PCRA (Petroleum Conservation Research Association) organized “A round table discussion on World Oil and Natural Gas scenario in 2019 and beyond” at Sitapura Industrial Area ,Jaipur on 11th March 2019.
Mr. Lalit Kumar Doley- General Manager – Plant- Indian Oil Corporation chaired the round table discussion which was well attended by plant development officers, government officials and leading corporate in Sitapura Industrial Area. Mr. Doley said “With a 33,000-plus work-force, extensive refining, distribution & marketing infrastructure and advanced R&D facilities, lndian Oil plays a significant role in fueling the socio-economic development of the country. With a mandate to ensure India's energy security and self-sufficiency in refining & marketing of petroleum products, lndian Oil has in the past six decades provided energy access to millions of people across the length and breadth of the country through its ever-expanding network of over 47,800 customer touch-points.” Speaking on the growth trends he said “ lndian Oil continues to expand its business operations abroad through its overseas establishments in Sri Lanka, Mauritius, the UAE, Singapore and USA. During the year 2017-18, the Company has set up offices in Myanmar and Bangladesh.”
Capt. Deepak Gupta, Deputy Director, PCRA, Jaipur said “ the fundamental challenge is certainly the intrinsic volatility in the sector. Producers need time to address the vagaries of an over or under supplied market. They also need to grapple with pace and magnitude of the transition to energy from non-fossil fuel sources. Thus there is a pertinent need for oil and gas companies must develop a resilient strategy to alleviate these emerging challenges.”
The programme was preceded by a “Cleanliness drive to support the Swacch Bharat Mission”. Speaking at this occasion Deputy Director, MSME Jaipur, Mr. Dinesh Soni reemphasized by saying “ The Abhiyan was launched by the Prime Minister with an aim to make India clean. Aim was to provide sanitation facilities to every family, including toilets, solid and liquid waste disposal systems, village cleanliness, and safe and adequate drinking water supply by 2nd October, 2019.” It will be a befitting tribute to the Father of the Nation on his 150th birth anniversary.”
