BHUBANESWAR, INDIA - Networking Meet with the Consul General of the Republic of Singapore

World Trade Centre Bhubaneswar organized a high level networking meet for Mr. Ajit Singh, the Consul General of the Republic of Singapore in Mumbai and his team here at Hotel Trident on 2nd March 2016. The networking meet provided an opportunity for some of the representatives of the industries in the state to have an interaction with Mr. Singh about doing business in Odisha and the industrial eco-system existent in the state across sectors. The meeting was attended by Mr. Tapan Mohanty, MD, Z-Estates, Mr. Prashant Hota, Executive Vice President, Jindal Steel & Power Ltd, Mr. Mahendra Gupta, MD, Gupta Power Pvt. Ltd. & Mr. Basant Patel, Associate Vice President, Adani Group. Over the discussion Mr. Singh was amazed by the competitive advantage carried by the State of Odisha over other states of India and was convinced with Odisha as one of the best destinations for investments in manufacturing sector. He further had a discussion with the team of World Trade Centre Bhubaneswar about the activities of the centre and lauded their efforts for organizing such a fruitful meet. 

Mr. Singh who was on a three day visit to the state met the Chief Minister of Odisha Shri. Naveen Patnaik followed by a series of meetings with other high level government officials pertinent to Smart City and Housing & Urban Development. He also visited the famous Konark Temple where he was fascinated by the beautiful fine carvings of the Black Pagoda and highly appreciated the craftsmen and sculptors of Odisha.
