Las Vegas "City of the Year" at HITS

SEOUL, SOUTH KOREA - Las Vegas was named “City of the Year” at the Hana Tour International Travel Show (HITS) in Seoul, South Korea. Las Vegas is the first U.S. city to receive this award. 

Hugh Sinnock, Vice President of customer experience for the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority (LVCVA) which operates the WTC Las Vegas, accepted the award on behalf of the destination. 

Visitation from South Korea to Las Vegas continues to grow with a 60% increase just one year after the country achieved Visa waiver status. South Korea has three weekly, non-stop flights to Las Vegas which helped bring 171,000 visitors in 2013.
