Featured MS Attendee Interview: Rebecca Faber

Oct 15, 2014

NEW YORK, NY, USA - Only 4 more days until the WTCA Member Seminar 2014!

Attending this event will give you the opportunity to meet fellow Members from all around the world, such as this week’s “Featured Attendee” and the President and CEO of WTC Delaware, Rebecca Faber.

What is your role/responsibility at your WTC?

I am President and CEO, but in our small office this actually just means that I wear a lot of hats. In short, I oversee our import/export assistance, educational programming, research and trade leads, and FDI assistance.

What is one unique attribute of your WTC that can benefit members of other WTCs, or something operational your WTC excels at that other WTCs can learn from you?

Because Delaware has a unique role as the incorporation capital of the United States, WTC Delaware does a lot of work helping companies outside of the United States establish a presence in the U.S. market. This ranges from what we refer to as Market Explorers (incorporating as a means to check the market out and determine how to move forward), Market Ready (already have a basis for sales in the US, seeing revenues and looking for a more solid presence including office, staff, distribution networks, etc.), and Market Active (larger companies, multinational, possibly setting up manufacturing operations). We assist companies at any of these stages and are able to bring a team of service providers or resources in to work with them to accomplish their goals.

What are you most looking forward to for the WTCA Member Seminar 2014?

I always most look forward to networking and connecting with individuals from other WTCs. I think the people are the most valuable aspect of the Association.
