Featured MS Attendee Interview: Carlos ValldeRuten

With the 2014 WTCA Member Seminar quickly approaching on October 19-22, we are spotlighting “Featured Attendees” from our global network. This week, WTCA interviews Carlos H. ValldeRuten, President of WTC Cali: 

1. What is your role/responsibility at your WTC? 

 As a manager and promoter of WTC Cali, my role is to structure the institutional platform of services and co-promote the WTC Cali facilities. I also lead the development and positioning of WTC Cali within the Pacific Alliance, Latin America and rest of the World. 

2.  What is one unique attribute of your WTC that can benefit members of other WTCs, or something operational your WTC excels at that other WTCs can learn from you? 

 WTC Cali is strategically located in Southwestern Colombia and expects to become the commercial center of the Pacific region. WTC Cali is advantageously connected to the airport, hotel zone, business area, and more importantly, to the main seaport of Colombia, Buenaventura. 

 3. What are you most looking forward to for the WTC Member Seminar 2014? 

 Besides the regular benefits of the annual seminar, in our case there are three things in particular :

 - To connect with our WTCA network and learn how to be more innovative, efficient and effective across WTC Global Network.

 - To setup strategic meetings with other WTC Executives and share best practices.

 - To express WTC Cali’s interest in hosting the next WTCA GA 2016 or 2017.
