2021 India/Asia Pacific WTC Regional Meeting

The WTCA Asia Pacific Regional Office hosted an online 2021 India/Asia Pacific WTC Regional Meeting on September 23, 2021. It was attended by more than 60 delegates representing 48 WTCs from India and the rest of Asia Pacific region. 

The meeting provided updates of WTCA global and regional network, as well as updates of participating WTCs. The breakout groups discussed challenges and opportunities of post-pandemic era on trade services, facility operation/development and exhibition facility/services. Mr. Robin van Puyenbroeck, WTCA Executive Director-Business Development delivered opening remarks for the meeting, followed up by updates on member services, APAC region, Member Advisory Councils and WTCA Foundation. 

Robin Remarks

The India/APAC Regional Meeting has served as a platform which provides opportunities for WTCA and WTCs to give updates, share best practices, improve connectivity and facilitate reciprocity. Khair Ull Nissa, Executive Director of WTC Noida, said that “The network is filled with gems and has a wealth of resource available within.” “It is truly gratifying to learn that everyone is upbeat and supportive. There are no barriers between WTCA members,” added Peter K Yap, CEO of WTC Yangon.
