On the morning of December 6, Ms. Zhenglan  Jia , Chair of the CCPIT Shaanxi / WTC Xi’an, met with Mr. John McLean OBE , Chair of the  China UK  Business Development Centre (CUKBDC).

Ms. Jia welcomed Mr. McLean and highly appreciated his efforts in promoting trade relations and the development of supply and industrial chains between the two countries, and briefly introduced the situation of Shaanxi Province. She said further development of China-UK economic and trade exchanges is a common aspiration of the two governments and the business communities. She added that the CCPIT Shaanxi is ready to work with the  CUKBDC  to promote bilateral exchanges and cooperation in green sustainable development, culture and finance, promote the two sides to build a regular friendly cooperation platform, establish more convenient information sharing channels, understand the mutual advantages and needs, focus on the key and fundamental work of resource matching, provide more effective economic and trade information and richer cooperation opportunities for enterprises of the two sides, and substantively serve the cooperation between enterprises of the two sides by jointly organizing economic and trade activities in a pragmatic manner.

Chair McLean gave a brief overview of the  CUKBDC  and said he looked forward to establishing a friendly and cooperative relationship with CCPIT Shaanxi ,  and hoped that both sides would strengthen cooperation in the areas of information resource promotion and sharing, economic and trade exchanges, and mutual visits of institutions and enterprises, which would lead to more substantive results.
