NEW EXHIBITION AT WTC THE HAGUE ART GALLERY

Jan 16, 2015

THE HAGUE, NETHERLANDS - On Thursday, January 15, WTC The Hague Art Gallery opened the first exhibition for 2015 called 'Colorful Journey'.

This exhibition shows works by Brigitte Spiegeler and Obbe Tiddens. Both artists have made colorful works abroad. Brigitte’s pictures were made specifically about and for Istanbul, a city with a rich history where different traditions and religions play a role. She captured this in her photos and added the color Byzantine blue. Why this color blue? Brigitte told the Art Gallery, "It was more of a feeling".

WTC The Hague Art Gallery met Obbe when he and his family had just made a long journey. During this journey he used his artistic wanderlust. You see impermanence, vulnerability and contact with and between people in his work. Both in a raw manner like his work on MDF, or refined in his paintings on canvas.

The special feature of both artists is that they not only deal with art. In everyday life, Brigitte has her own law firm and Obbe is an emergency physician. Art to complement your personality or not being able to set it aside, to distract or even inspire. In any case, not just a hobby that they do besides their jobs. We work with passion every day, on both counts.

Curious? Come see the exhibition in the WTC The Hague Art Gallery.
The exhibition runs until Sunday, March 1, 2015.
