The Hague raises awareness for child prostitution

May 17, 2018

On Monday 14 May at 8 a.m., Pauline Krikke, the Mayor of The Hague, symbolically started the Free A Girl Foundation’s Lock Me Up action which raises awareness about the Week Against Child Prostitution. The ceremony was done in the lobby of WTC The Hague by literally ā€˜locking up’ WTC The Hague’s Managing Director Eveline Steenbergen and lawyer Carolien Brederije. These two top professional women of The Hague remained in their ā€˜cubicles’, which symbolise the cubicles of brothels in India, of 1 by 2 metres for 12 hours. The Lock Me Up action was held in two places in The Hague – including WTC The Hague from Monday 14 May to Friday 18 May. For more information, see https://www.lockmeup.nl/locaties/wtc-the-hague/
