German-Dutch Chamber of Commerce New Members Day

Mar 27, 2015

THE HAGUE, NETHERLANDS - More than 70 new members and prospective members of the German-Dutch Chamber of Commerce (DNHK) arrived at the World Trade Center The Hague on Friday, March 27, 2015 to attend the 14th DNHK-New Members' Day. Not only could they get to know each other, but they were informed about the activities of the Chamber of Commerce, the market and the opportunities in the neighboring country.

After DNHK spokesman Niels Cuckoo had opened the meeting, Gerard Vaandrager informed the guests of WTC The Hague’s, and the investment companies, West Holland Foreign Investment Agency (WFIA) and Innovation Quarter, of their international activities.

Günter Gülker, director of DNHK, then presented the network’s services and events organized by the Chamber of Commerce.
The presentation of Kurt Imminger, Senior Research Director at GIM, showed that Dutch companies, with the exception of Philips, hardly enjoy reputation in Germany. Commissioned by the Dutch Embassy in Berlin, GIM researched the image of the Dutch businesses in Germany. Conclusion: "There are many opportunities for Dutch companies, but something needs to be done about marketing."

After the presentations, the entrepreneurs had the opportunity to ask their individual questions to the experts of the various departments and DNHK during a networking luncheon.
