SOFIA, BULGARIA - For the 22nd time, at an official ceremony the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, License Holder of WTC Sofia (AF), conferred its annual awards for achievements in the categories: leading Bulgarian companies in the “Top 100” classification, regional chamber of commerce and industry, sectorial organization, ambassador, foreign commercial counsellor, media, and journalist.
Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Labour and Social Policy Ivaylo Kalfin, Minister of Regional Development and Public Works Lilyana Pavlova and Deputy Economy Minister Lyuben Petrov were official guests at the ceremony.
According to the President of BCCI Tsvetan Simeonov the fact that 2014 was significantly more profitable for the companies which were included in the classification on the basis of objective data from their annual financial reports is encouraging. More than 6000 companies accountable for 81% of the country’s GDP for 2014 participated in the ranking. The results of the first 100 companies are significantly better compared to the previous year. This comes to show that the good companies have become even better and doing business even in the current difficult conditions is not a mission impossible, on the contrary – for some it is an opportunity and a challenge, Tsvetan Simeonov said.
