The Sport Salon

Dec 20, 2017

The Sports Salon welcomes Scott Servais, beginning his third season as Mariners manager. Servais had an 11-year MLB playing career as a catcher with four clubs. Servais is a native of Wisconsin who played college ball at Creighton in Omaha. After his playing career, Servais joined the front office of the Texas Rangers, then the Los Angeles Angels, where he worked with Jerry Dipoto. When Dipoto was named Mariners' GM, he gave Servais his first managerial job. In the 2017 season, Servais navigated having to wrangle a club-record 40 pitchers due to injuries. But the Mariners have added several new players, and will provide Sports Salon attendees with background and insight ahead of spring training 2018. Event Schedule: 5:00pm: Networking, happy hour beverages, and complimentary appetizers 6:00pm: Discussion with Art Thiel, and Scott Servais 6:45pm: Q & A Brought to you by Sportspress Northwest and the World Trade Center Seattle.
