Oct 22, 2013

Optima Group has deployed QlikView Business Discovery BI system in the largest multifunctional facility, World Trade Center Moscow (WTCM). This was communicated by representatives of both the Customer and the Contractor companies at the QlikView conference held in the WTCM.

Deputy General Director of the World Trade Center Moscow Sergey Kudryashov opened the Conference with a welcoming address.

BI system for the WTCM is implemented on the QlikView Business Discovery platform and is intended to assist in resolving the tasks of monitoring, control and analysis of the main economic and performance indicators of such key areas of the Customer’s business as lease of space, hotel services, congress activities, catering and investment projects.

The system is being installed to replace the outdated BI solution the shortfalls of which were slow operation and complexity of support. The key criteria of the QlikView selection are easy operation and user-friendliness, short schedule of the similar projects implementation and low system’s possession cost. Besides the platform’s flexibility plays an important role as it is due to this feature that the system can be promptly adapted to the changing requirements of the business users which is especially relevant as the speed of business change is increasing from year to year.

«The new system on the QlikView Business Discovery platform will provide us with the comprehensive business support and will allow us confident data management and their quality and security control, - Sergey Kudryashov said, - let me make a special focus on the fact that the WTCM users have not only appreciated the QlikView advantages but also the Optima Consulting specialists’ field work. It was hard to imagine that such services can be provided at this high level».

«QlikView deployment in the WTCM is one of our few projects where we worked with the Customer just-in-time, –OPTIMA Сonsulting Director of Consultancy Department Denis Katyushin comments, – in the recent time the need becomes more and more frequent to obtain the deliverables here and now instead of waiting for 2-3 months during which the Terms of Reference get ready, and then for the system to come in another 3-4 months. That is why we worked in this project in the iteration mode and having launched the project at the end of May received quite tangible results ensuring revenue analysis across all significant business areas».

Currently the BI system on the QlikView basis enables consolidation of the revenue data from various accounting systems across all the areas of the WTCM operations including subsidiaries. The employees now have an opportunity to use various reports and visualizations for the plan/actual analysis, revenue structure and dynamics analysis, comparative analysis and reports generation in the pdf format, whereas the depth of analysis in this project makes 3 years at the time interval, and from the facts perspective – down to the primary document capturing the fact of revenue. The WTCM staff can work with the QlikView both from workstations and mobile devices.

Today there are 50 QlikView users in the WTCM. Customer plans to continue cooperation with Optima Group within this project’s framework and complement the system with the financial result expenditure analysis and managerial reports generation.
