The main event in the industry of cyber-security

On July 6th, 2018 WTC Moscow hosted the first International Cybersecurity Congress. A number of technical sessions organized by Russian and foreign companies and a panel discussion "Russian Experience in Combating Cybercrime" were held the day before. Leaders of major banks, the ANO Digital Economy and BI.ZONE participated in the event.

Thirty companies presented high-tech anti-cyber threats solutions an exposition within the framework of the Congress. There were more than 2000 participants who came from different countries of the world.

The Russian President Vladimir Putin, being the main speaker at the congress, participated in the session "Is there a chance to make the transit world safer?", where, together with other experts, he assessed the possibilities to make the world more comfortable for people's lives.

Vladimir Putin has said that Russia is well aware of how important digitalization is in the national wealth. There are more than 90 million Internet users in the country and the digital state services programs are being implemented actively. One can use public services electronically, which has become a norm, as the digital environment radically changes the entire system.

Flexible legal regulation, as well as the formation of a modern information structure were noted by the President among the program’s priorities. According to Vladimir Putin, access to communication services will be provided to all medical and educational institutions. Another key task is the creation of competent staff. At the same time, the President noted that the Russian communications infrastructure should be based on domestic developments and products.

In the Congress also took part leading cybersecurity world-class experts, among whom President, Chairman of the Board of PJSC Sberbank Mr. German Gref, Vice President for Fighting Fraud and Cybercrime, Visa Inc., Penny Lane, IBM Security CEO Mr. Mark van Zadelhoff, General Director of Kaspersky Lab, Mr. Eugene Kaspersky, director of the Institute of the Future of Humanity, futurist Mr. Nick Bostrom and others.
