JAIPUR, INDIA - World Trade Centre Jaipur Hosts Exporter Meet at Udaipur, Rajasthan.

WTC Jaipur received overwhelming response for its second edition of “Open house meet with Exporters” on 16th December 2016 at Udaipur, Rajasthan.
Mr. R.P.Meena, Joint Director of Foreign Trade, Government of India, in his Key note address gave an overview of export scenario in Rajasthan state. He said that exports from Rajasthan are on a rise and new commodities have been added to the State’s export basket.

He also said, despite being challenges present , exporters have stepped up and explored new markets overseas which has further strengthened their bottom-line. He further said that there is need to be cost conscious and time bound to stay competitive and enjoy reputation as preferred business partners overseas.

Highlighting during the program, that online access is now available to all export and import related obligations, he said “there is a further need to educate the exporters and importers community to fully realize the potential benefits of online information, various schemes and opportunities available to them through DGFT portal.”

Mr. Satish Raina from Jt. DGFT Jaipur office also stressed on need for innovation and better technology to boost exports due to rising competitiveness. He also stressed that B school curriculum should encourage students to learn the concepts of foreign trade to prepare them at grass root level.

Mr. Navneet Agarwal, Assistant Director, WTC Jaipur, in his welcome address briefed the participants about the Global Economic Summit 2017 to be hosted in WTC Mumbai on 27, 28 and 29th March 2017. He also shared how WTC Jaipur with continued support from WTC Mumbai can assist the exporter and importer community of Rajasthan through their global linkages. It was also discussed how WTC membership is a boon to any exporter and importer and how they can benefit from Trade Point . He also invited interested participants to join their upcoming Foreign Delegation.

The event hosted by WTC Jaipur at the city of lakes, Udaipur, Rajasthan was well attended by over 100 participants. Vote of thanks was proposed by UCCI, Udaipur.
