Jaipur set to be a World Class Trade Facilitator

JAIPUR, INDIA - With its commitment to provide world class infrastructure for supporting foreign trade, Mr. A.O. Kuruvila, advisor to World Trade Centre Mumbai, along with Mr. Navneet Agarwal, Assistant Director – Trade Promotions, World Trade Centre Jaipur, met Rajasthan’s Minister of Industries Mr. Gajendra Singh Khimsar (Mr. Khimsar is also the Minister of Sports and Youth Affairs, Government of Rajasthan) on 30th June 2016. Gajendra Singh Khimsar, King of Khimsar, MLA from Lohawat Rajasthan, was appointed as a minister of industry on29/10/2014. He has previously held responsibilities as Minister of Energy, Govt. of Rajasthan (2003-2008). 

A Hotelier by profession, the Khimsar Group of Hotels has been recipient of the ‘National Grand Heritage Award for Excellence’- the highest recognition conferred upon any heritage property by the Department of Tourism, Government of India. Mr. Khimsar was keen to understand how World Trade Center Mumbai works cohesively towards fostering trade relations for its members by sharing extremely strong linkages with World Trade Centre’s across the globe. It was also shared with the minister that WTC intends to create a similar World Trade Centre in Jaipur that can provide a world class infrastructure to foster foreign trade. Mr. Khimsar assured all support for WTC Jaipur. 

Upon request, Mr. Khimsar agreed to join the inaugural function of WTC Jaipur planned in August 2016.
