Training Description

A local expert┬áprovides in-depth review and real-world examples on the following topics: introduction and review of basic export documents, how the documentation process affects payment and customs clearance, Incoterms┬«´ŞĆ, export regulations and compliance, classifying your merchandise under the Schedule B, the role of a freight forwarder, the importance of cargo insurance, letters of credit, temporary exports, and the Automated Export System.

Recommended For

Personnel who work for companies exporting from the USA; including logistics, legal, financial, sales, and management departments.

Prior Knowledge

It is recommended that you attend Incoterms before pursuing this course. If you cannot attend the Incoterms course in-person, it is also available to take anytime online here.


James Ferry, Arrow Electronics - James has a wide variety of business experience, both in international trade and otherwise. He worked for a Licensed Customs Broker for many years before moving to MolsonCoors. At MolsonCoors, James was the Trade Compliance Manager, overseeing the import and export compliance functions of the large global business.  Currently, James has accepted a role as Trade Operations Manager for Arrow Electronics.

Training Hours

This training counts for 4 hours towards the Certificate in International Trade.
