In this month’s episode of The Centerpiece, the official
video newsletter of the World Trade Centers Association (WTCA), we invite you
to tune in to the real estate association’s latest headlines surrounding global
trade and international commerce around the world.
WTCA Board Members Scott Center (WTC Savannah) and Ed
Allison-Wright (WTC Gibraltar), were joined by Brian K. Oglesby, who serves as
the CEO and President of WTC Pittsburgh and the Eastern Minority Supplier
Development Council, an affiliate of the National Minority Supplier Development
Council (NMSDC), which certifies minority owned businesses committed to
supplier development and diversity.
Brian shares his journey from an active business member to
World Trade Center license holder, which began with his in-person visit to the
2024 WTCA Global Business Forum (GBF) in Bengaluru, India. Brian sat on Global Diversity Advisory
Council of WTC Greater Philadelphia, and in that role he joined that Center’s
delegation at the GBF. There he had an opportunity to experience the magnitude
of WTCA’s international business ecosystem and trade network. When he learned
that the Pittsburgh, PA WTC license was available, he knew he wanted to seize
the opportunity to extend the World Trade Centers’ Association coverage in the
state.
According to Brian, the gravitas of the World Trade Center
brand identity has helped his constituents enter the global marketplace more
easily, facilitated business and economic opportunities, and given them a head
start both nationally and internationally.
