Narek Marutyan, Board Member, World Trade Center Yerevan

I am passionate and eager to contribute to the expansion of Armenia’s participation in world trade and investments, alongside the promotion of business relationships and understandings among Armenia’s SMEs.

Passionate and driven, I am an ambitious student studying at Durham University, dedicated to making a lasting impact in the field of education. As a board member at the World Trade Centre Yerevan (WTCY) and the co-founder of the first Armenian student ecosystem aiming to digitalise education in Armenia, I am actively involved in shaping the future of education, architecture and urban development in my country with the common pursuit of globalisation.

In addition to my professional pursuits, I am an avid learner with a hunger for knowledge. I embrace every opportunity to expand my horizons and stay abreast of the latest developments in technology, entrepreneurship, and education. This thirst for knowledge has driven me to actively participate in workshops, conferences, and online courses, allowing me to stay at the forefront of industry trends and best practices.

Outside of my academic and professional commitments, I am deeply involved in community service initiatives. I believe in giving back and have dedicated my time and efforts to organizations focused on promoting equal access to education and empowering marginalized communities. These experiences have enriched my understanding of social responsibility and instilled in me a sense of purpose to make a positive difference in the lives of others.

Looking ahead, I am excited to continue my journey in higher education, exploring new avenues for innovation and growth. I am seeking opportunities to collaborate with like-minded individuals, organizations, and institutions that share my passion for transforming education.
