Paul Wallman, World Trade Center Portland

Paul Wallman has worked in (and managed virtually) all types of commercial buildings in the Portland and Vancouver areas. The building types include Class A office, high-tech, high-rise, college campuses, government buildings, electric utility buildings, laboratories, historic buildings, industrial, retail and parking garages.

In a recent nomination, Paul was recognized for his contribution to Portland General Electric and World Trade Center Portland. “Paul is an innovator and has really enhanced World Trade Center with his focus on energy efficiency and sustainability. With eight years as Building Manager, he has established new building standards in Sustainability and energy efficiency . With his eye on creating operational excellence it was only natural that he pursue LEED certification for the existing building at One World Trade Center. Bringing a 1978 building into compliance to meet LEED standards took tremendous effort which earned Paul a sustainability award. The One World Trade Center building received LEED gold certification in 2015. Paul was the Better Bricks Sustainability Advocate award winner and submitted World Trade Center Portland into the Kilowatt Crackdown challenge. Be it recycling efforts, safety improvements or energy efficiency, Paul is leading change at World Trade Center Portland to benefit tenants, Portland General Electric employees, customers and guests.”

Paul was the Operations Manager for the City of Portland and worked with LEED consultants, engineers and staff, receiving LEED EBOM Gold certification for the Portland Building from USGBC. Paul also was Awarded as a Safety Champion by the Mayor of the City of Portland.
