Dr. Jitendra Sharma is the Managing Director and Founder CEO of Andhra Pradesh MedTech Zone (AMTZ), one of the world's largest medical device manufacturing clusters. He is also the Founder and Executive Director of Kalam Institute of Health Technology- which operates as a medical technology policy institute & provides its services to various Ministries of Government of India.
He holds the distinction of being the first Indian to receive the prestigious Laufmann Greatbatch Award from AAMI-USA and has also been honored with the Leadership Excellence Award by the American College of Clinical Engineering.
Dr. Jitendra Sharma has served as a designer and coordinator for numerous technology-intensive health programs in India, founded nine organizations focused on medical technology within the country, and imparts education on global health policy and health technology through various courses.
