WTC The Hague renovations started

Aug 28, 2015

THE HAGUE, NETHERLANDS - Under the motto ‘We are working on improving how WTC works for You’, Bouwinvest made its plans for a complete overhaul of the World Trade Center (WTC) The Hague known at the beginning of this year. The plan consists of several parts, including centralising all the current facilities in the WTC and adding many new facilities such as an AH-to-Go; a new trendy bar/restaurant called ‘Mondano’ by Vermaat; large NH conference rooms; a facility point; and a prayer room. The Njoy sports centre will also be renovated to include a wellness centre. These renovations will help WTC The Hague raise the level of the services it provides and become the business hub of The Hague and its surrounding area. After the overhaul, WTC The Hague will be the perfect combination of offices, hospitality, hotel and everyday convenience.

What will be done
The construction team – SENS real estate and the contractor Bakels & Ouwerkerk – has done much preparatory work. The actual building work on WTC The Hague will start in the second half of August and is expected to be completed at the beginning of 2016. All the facilities will then be centralised in the WTC. The current entrance on the Prinses Margrietplantsoen will be closed and there will be one main entrance. This will make it much easier to access all the offices and facilities.

New hotspots for coffee, food and more
During the renovations, SHOKU and Coffeecompany, which are already located in the WTC, will remain open. Coffeecompany will move to the front of the building which will also house an AH-to-Go. Next year, Mondano, a trendy bar/restaurant will also open in the WTC. It’s sure to become one of The Hague’s hot spots!
