WTC Jaipur participates in 'Beginners in Exports'

JAIPUR, INDIA -  3rd March 2017 : WTC Jaipur associated with the workshop on “ Beginners in Exports” organized by Jt. DGFT office in association with FIEO at Jaisalmer, Rajasthan on 3rd March 2017.

Mr. R.P.Meena, Jt. DGFT , Udyog Bhawan, Jaipur, while introducing the Directorate General of foreign Trade (DGFT),the agency of the Ministry of Commerce and Industry of the Government of India, emphasized its role in execution of the import and export Policies of India. He said, DGFT plays a very important role in the development of trading relations with various other nations and thus help in improving not only the economic growth but also provides a certain impetus needed in the trade industry. For promoting exports and imports DGFT has established its regional offices across the country. He further said, keeping in line with liberalization and globalization and the overall objective of increasing of exports, DGFT has since been assigned the role of “facilitator”.

Mr. Satish Raina, State coordinator, Niryat Bandhu Scheme, Jt. DGFT office, Jaipur, said, “there is a need to take the marble production from Jaisalmer to the world and this is now very much possible through increased digitalization in obtaining Export Import licenses and pace in gathering buyer seller information.”  Mr. Raina said, to compliment the efforts with support of technology, DGFT has already launched the EBRC (Bank Realization Certificate) through which all Banks are supposed to upload all the Banking Realization on dgft.gov.in which is a giant leap nearing towards paperless regime. The EBRC Module has been very successful, due to its benefits accruing on the fronts of its correctness, transaction cost, time and transmission without need for any physical interface by the banks and the users thereof. The submission of BRC in physical form has also been dispensed with by DGFT, thus making the documentation easier and friendly.

Speaking at the session, Mr. Bhupinder Sing, Chapter Head, Federation of Indian Export Organization (FIEO), Rajasthan briefed about the role played by FIEO by providing the crucial interface between international trading community of India, the Central/ State Governments, financial institutions, ports, railways, surface transport and all involved in export trade facilitation. Directly and indirectly it serves the interests of over 100,000 exporters in the country. FIEO works in partnership with various academic institutions across the country to forge better academia-industry understanding to develop quality Human Resource to match the requirement of international trade. It also organizes specialized training /awareness programs, seminars, workshops for export executives and entrepreneurs with the objective to develop entrepreneurship in international trade.

Mr. Navneet Agarwal, Assistant Director, World Trade Center Jaipur said “ beginners in exports can benefit from trade education services of MVIRDC. World Trace Institute imparts quality education in the areas of Foreign Trade, Foreign Exchange and Risk Management amongst others.” He further added that membership at WTC provided unparalleled global connectivity through linkages in over 300 WTC’s operating in 91 countries. WTC Membership brings members on digital platform for trade information assistance, provides access to research reports and update periodically on events and exhibitions.

Mr. Girish Vyas, Secretary, Industry Association, RIICO, Jaisalmer said developing an export market will not only add to the bottom-line but will also mitigate the growth risk arising from sluggish domestic demand.

Mr. Jayant Mehra, Mehra Group, Jaisalmer proposed the vote of thanks. The event attracted more than 50 participants from Yellow Marble industry, granite suppliers, chemical and minerals and metal exporters.
