World Trade Center Savannah travels to Ireland

Nov 30, 2021

World Trade Center Savannah (WTCSav) led a delegation to Ireland in preparation for the launch of a new chapter of the joint economic development program, TradeBridge, in partnership with County Wexford in southeast Ireland. The delegation, headed by Savannah Economic Development Authority Board of Directors Chairman and WTCSav board member John Coleman, focused on strategizing with Ireland-based teams from Enterprise Ireland, Wexford County Council and Wexford Enterprise Association to create a revised strategy to achieve TradeBridge's goal of growing regional trade between southeast Georgia and southeast Ireland. Joining Coleman on the delegation were WTCSav Vice President Leigh Ryan, WTCSav Director for Research & Trade Development Jessie Jenkins, who was recently named to lead TradeBridge efforts in Savannah, and leadership from Georgia Southern University.

In addition to TradeBridge partners, the delegation met with a variety of companies interested in export, the Wexford Chamber of Commerce, the U.S. Embassy in Dublin, the Irish Department of Foreign Affairs and the Guinness Enterprise Center.Â
