Economic & Trade Bridge Salon: Invest Victoria

On April 10, 2023, the CCPIT Shanghai "Economic & Trade Bridge" Salon: Australia Victoria Economic and Trade Exchange Meeting was held in Shanghai. Co-hosted by CCPIT Shanghai and the Australia Victoria Trade and Investment Shanghai Representative Office, the meeting gathered 30 delegates from member companies and relevant industries.

CCPIT Shanghai Vice Chairman Gu Chunting and Mr. Nick Henderson, Deputy Commissioner of the Victorian Government of Australia attended the meeting and delivered welcome speeches. 

Mr. Nick Henderson said that Victoria is Australia's traditional economic state with a dense population, high degree of industrialization, and developed agriculture and animal husbandry industries. The Victorian government attaches great importance to promoting trade and investment exchanges with Shanghai enterprises. The Vic House in Shanghai mainly displays featured agricultural products, high-quality beef and mutton, drinks and beverages, dairy products and daily chemical products, as well as educational resources such as universities of higher learning in Victoria, hoping to provide a platform for enterprises to communicate and interact.

Vice Chair Gu Chunting expressed willingness to build a bridge of information and cooperation for the enterprises in Shanghai and Australia, enhance mutual understanding, and let more enterprises share the development process and bright prospects of Shanghai and Australia. As Australia's largest trading partner, export market and source of imports, China enjoys broad cooperation prospects. As one of the most economically developed cities in China, Shanghai is striving to create a better business environment for expanding cooperation and exchanges with other countries and cities around the world. 

This networking meeting built an international exchange platform for enterprises, enhanced their understanding of Victoria's advantageous agricultural products, economic and trade investment, and further deepened and expanded exchanges and cooperation with Victoria. 

The meeting was followed by a visit to the Victorian product booths.
