Oct 09, 2023

On the afternoon of September 11, CCPIT Chairman Zhou Minhao met with Simon Bridges, CEO of Auckland Chamber of Commerce, New Zealand.

Chairman Zhou welcomed the delegation on behalf of CCPIT Shanghai and COIC Shanghai.  As an international trade promotion agency, CCPIT Shanghai provides functions including international commercial arbitration, international exhibitions and other functions, and provides international economic and trade exchanges, origin certification and other services for enterprises. In addition, CCPIT Shanghai has been deeply engaged in the field of international exhibitions, holding nearly 30 key exhibitions, including the Shanghai International Auto Show, and constantly innovating to go abroad. This year, it will also hold a green travel exhibition in Thailand to promote a new way of green and low-carbon life. Chairman Zhou expressed gratitude for the friendly exchanges and cooperation between New Zealand and China, and pointed out that low-carbon and green travel technologies and products can also be one of the areas of cooperation and exchanges between the two sides. The sixth China International Import Expo (CIIE) will be held in Shanghai in November this year. We welcome the Auckland Chamber of Commerce to actively participate in the CIIE platform for Chinese customers to know more about New Zealand's quality products through cooperation.

Mr. Simon Bridges was pleased to have face-to-face meeting with Chairman Zhou. Auckland Chamber of Commerce also provides origin certification, commercial arbitration and other services, so there are many similarities between the two organizations. There were also members of the New Zealand Chinese Business Club, who all agreed that China's economic growth and poverty alleviation achievement is an amazing miracle. The economic and trade exchanges between the two countries are increasingly closer, and there are many excellent cooperation cases, such as the cooperation between CIMEN and Haier. In addition, Auckland's electric vehicle market development also expects more international cooperation. Chinese electric car brands such as BYD have also entered the New Zealand market, hoping to expand cooperation in the field of green and low-carbon. New Zealand's major competitive industries are tourism and food. Mr. Bridges looks forward to participating in the CIIE next year and cooperating with CCPIT Shanghai to present more excellent products to Chinese consumers.
