Bizz Buzz Business Conclave - 22nd & 23rd April 22

World Trade Center Visakhapatnam in association with The Hans India and Bizz Buzz, has organized a two-day business conclave in Visakhapatnam on the 22nd and 23rd of April 2022 with the theme “Andhra Pradesh, Maximum Potential, Unlimited Opportunity” to promote investments in the state of Andhra Pradesh.

 Scott Wang, Vice President, Asia Pacific, World Trade Centers Association in his inaugural speech virtually said that World Trade Centers play a key role in international trade and also help in the growth of the MSMEs and industries in the region. He advocated that WTCA works on the philosophy of “Connect Globally and Proper Locally” through a network of 320+ World Trade Centers spread in more than 90 countries.

 The valedictory function was addressed by H E, Haribabu, the Governor of Mizoram and a former MLA and MP from Visakhapatnam, who believes the city's potential lies in pharma, IT, tourist, particularly valley and temple tourism, seafood exports, and food processing. The Governor proposed that the State Government establish an AP Agriculture Export Development Agency to tap on the enormous potential in rice, maize, sugarcane, organic coffee cultivated in Araku Valley, and fruits such as Banganapalle and Nuzvid mangoes.

 The Industries Minister from the Government of Andhra Pradesh  Mr. Gudivada Amarnath, while speaking the validatory function has said that Amarnath said the Chief Minister has the vision to develop industries across the State and it is the minister’s first public address after swearing in,

Kenneth Wong, Consul and senior trade commissioner, Consulate General of Canada  Bengaluru, while addressing the valedictory session in a virtual mode. "The Consulate General has been concentrating their efforts in the local ecosystem. We will travel to this region soon. I know the value of being in such an environment, and we are planning out being here for at least the next three years. So, we will have ample opportunity to meet," he said, congratulating all the people involved in the event for organising the first business conclave successfully after the Covid-19 impact.

 Nanda Kishore Reddy, Group CEO of AP Electronics and Information Technology Agency (APEITA) and MD of AP Technology Services (APTS), shared this while explaining the advantages of manufacturing electronic components in the State during a panel discussion on “AP – Embedding Bharat’s Code in the global circuit’ at Bizz Buzz Business Conclave (BBBC) here on Friday. He further said: “Besides geographical and infrastructural advantages, AP offers several benefits to the electronics manufacturing sector ."

 The conclave was a success in terms of raising awareness about new potential in tourism, electronics, IT, the startup environment, pharmaceuticals, petrochemicals, agri-food processing, shipbuilding, and logistics. Officials and stakeholders from all disciplines engaged in a spirited conversation about how to go forward with the State's efforts to help India achieve its goal of being a $5 billion economy by 2024-25. The conclave was hosted in a business-like setting and drew a huge number of attendees, including students, entrepreneurs, government officials, investors, and service providers.
