AOL Co-Founder Steve Case to Speak at WTC LV

Oct 26, 2015

LAS VEGAS, NV, USA - The World Trade Center Las Vegas is hosting a special innovation-focused networking breakfast on Friday, January 8, 2016 that will feature a keynote address from America Online (AOL) co-founder Steve Case. Steve Case is one of America’s best-known and most accomplished entrepreneurs and a pioneer in making the Internet part of everyday life.

He currently serves as Chairman and CEO of Revolution LLC, a Washington, D.C.-based investment firm he co-founded in 2005, where he partners with visionary entrepreneurs to build significant “built to last” new businesses.

Steve’s entrepreneurial career began in 1985 when he co-founded AOL. Under Steve’s leadership, AOL became the world’s largest and most valuable Internet company, driving the worldwide adoption of a medium that has transformed business and society. Steve also ensured that AOL led the industry on issues such as making the Internet a safe place for children, bridging the “digital divide” and investing in online philanthropy.

At its peak, nearly half of Internet users in the United States used AOL. In 2000, Steve negotiated the largest merger in business history, bringing together AOL and Time Warner in a transaction that gave AOL shareholders a majority stake in the combined company. To facilitate the merger, Steve agreed to step down as CEO when the merger closed.

The World Trade Center Las Vegas networking breakfast will coincide with CES® 2016 , the world’s gathering place for all who thrive on the business of consumer technologies. As a World Trade Centers Association member, you and your contacts are invited to attend this much anticipated event. There, you’ll have a chance to get a sneak peek at the innovation on display at CES, the largest hands-on showcase of emerging innovation, uniting more than 150,000 professionals from 150 countries to witness the latest consumer electronics technologies and services from more than 3,600 exhibiting companies.

Eligible WTCA members may email wtclasvegas@CE.org to request a complimentary CES registration code while supplies last. CES remains a trade-only event and is not open to the general public.
