WTC Winnipeg: Welcoming the World at Centrallia

Jun 23, 2016

WINNIPEG, CANADA - Hundreds of entrepreneurs travelled from every corner of the world to attend Centrallia, the global business-to-business forum, held on May 25-27 in Winnipeg. Participants came from as far as Korea, Paris, Lagos, Mexico, and every place in between with a goal to find new business partners in face-to-face, speed dating meetings.

“This was our third international Centrallia and we really feel like we’ve scored the hat trick this time. We screened businesses more thoroughly and ensured that CEOs, Presidents, and decision makers were in the room. Serious discussions were introduced on Manitoba’s lead role in regards to trade with Mexico and in the North, as climate change brings new challenges and opportunities in the global Arctic regions. The improvements made to the forum allowed for better discussions between participants, in turn, leading to more connections,” said Mariette Mulaire, President and CEO of the WTC Winnipeg.

Even before Centrallia 2016 was over, a Winnipeg firm in particular knew they had tens of millions of dollars of business within reach. Similar stories have been flowing into the WTC Winnipeg office ever since. Visit centrallia.com to watch the highlight video of the event.
