WINNIPEG, MB, CANADA - The World Trade Centre Winnipeg (WTC Winnipeg) and the Brandon Chamber of Commerce have partnered to organize Bakken 2.0, a one-day event giving participants the opportunity to get the latest industry updates in the oil sector and learn about future prospects and opportunities for their organization.

“With the price of oil declining, it’s hard to tell exactly what the impact will be in the Bakken region and more importantly for local and Manitoba businesses. That’s why it’s important to hear it directly from the experts.” says Derek Earl, WTC Winnipeg’s Director, International Trade.

Tom Rolfstad, keynote speaker and former Director of Williston Economic Development has seen and worked in the Bakken for nearly 25 years. He was on site to explain why the Bakken shale’s unique characteristics should make this a growing economy for many years to come.
