Doing Business in the Arctic

May 22, 2016

WINNIPEG, CANADA - The World Trade Centre Winnipeg (WTC Winnipeg) will be joined by the World Trade Centres from Anchorage and Edmonton to host a one-day conference on May 25th on the business opportunities in the Arctic, during the Centrallia world business forum.

Manitoba has a close relationship with the North. Canada’s only inland arctic port is located in Churchill. As the business world came together in Winnipeg from May 25 to 27, 2016, for the fourth edition of Centrallia, with the support of various experts, a one-day conference on business opportunities with the Arctic was organized by WTC Winnipeg.

“This conference on the Arctic was created thanks to the successful collaboration with the World Trade Centres from Edmonton and Anchorage,” explained WTC Winnipeg Vice-President, Derek Earl. “They each have a special relationship with the Arctic that they were able to share with the business people from around the world gathered at Centrallia.”

In fact, WTC Edmonton is very active in northern development, particularly in the Northwest Territories and Yukon. As for WTC Anchorage, in Alaska, it is one of the world’s most northerly WTCs, a position of undeniable expertise.
