Business Alliances between Manitoba and France

Feb 21, 2016

WINNIPEG, CANADA - Mariette Mulaire, President and CEO of the World Trade Centre Winnipeg (WTC Winnipeg), was on a mission to France on February 5 to 11, 2016. She visited two World Trade Centres (WTC), one in Lyon, accompanied by the Rhône-Alpes International Chamber of Commerce, and one in Rennes.

“We’re using the WTC network to introduce Manitoba and our international business forum, Centrallia, and to recruit businesses that are interested in participating in our fourth edition of Centrallia in May 2016,” explains Mariette Mulaire.

With France, she specifically emphasized Manitoban bilingualism, and spoke about the economic potential of this Canadian Prairie province. WTC Winnipeg had already convinced WTC Lille, in the north of France, to participate in Centrallia.

“There’s a really great chemistry and lots of business opportunities between us and France,” concludes Mariette Mulaire. “We have a natural link, an easy relationship, between Canada and the European Union, and Manitoba has its place in this relationship. This is what I emphasized to the WTC in Lyon and Rennes.”
