Amb. Robin Renee Sanders

Since the mid-1990’s, Sub-Saharan Africa has experienced high growth in economic activity in its sector ranging from agriculture to security. The structural transformation in Sub-Saharan Africa has been relatively slow compared to other countries such as Asia. A shift in workers, high commodity prices and increase in productivity are some contributing factors to its success in sustainable development. What are organizations and enterprises doing to assist with Africa’s economic development today? How can African countries improve their structural transformation to promote growth?

Join the World Affairs Council-Washington, DC as we host Ambassador Dr. Robin Renee Sanders, author of The Rise of Africa's Small & Medium Size Enterprises to discuss her work as a diplomat, as a CEO of FEEEDS Advocacy Initiative with Africa, as well as the transformation of Africa’s economic development.
