Successful Medical Tour to Germany for WTC Twente

TWENTE, NETHERLANDS- Several medical companies and medical specialists explored the southern part of Germany for opportunities recently. The German companies and the MedTec Europe Exhibition that were visited proved interesting for future partnerships. Robert Evers (CEO Focal Vision & Optics): โ€œThis medical tour helped us to get into contact with German medical networks and helps to strengthen the partnerships and ties between entrepreneurs from Twente, the University of Twente and medical specialists. This will certainly help us in our mission.โ€ Also the high-end technology supplier of mechatronics products en systems Demcon sees a lot of opportunities in South-Germany to further develop their medical activities.

Professor Jan Grandjean of the Thorax Center Twente/MST sees South-Germany as region to find equivalent partners on a technologicaly innovative level. Dr. Koert de Jong, surgeon at the UMC Groningen, stated that the mission was a great success. Other participants to the mission included Encapson, the University of Twente MIRA institute, Dovideq Medical, Cybermind and ICT Automation. The tour to Germany was an initiative of the Center for Medical Imaging and the World Trade Center Twente, and was financially supported by the Twente Region and the Province of Overijssel.
