WTC Taipei Welcomes New Chairman

TAIPEI, TAIWAN - World Trade Center Taipei welcomed its new chairman on September, 2014.
The former WTC Taipei Chairman, Dr. Chih-Kang Wang, passed the torch to his successor, Mr. Francis Liang at the Chairman Inauguration Ceremony.

Taiwan’s Minister of Economic Affairs, Mr. Tyzz-Jiun Duh, presided as the supervisor of the Ceremony, “Mr. Francis Liang is deeply familiar with the day in and day out operations of WTC Taipei and shares the organization’s dedication to further Taiwan’s trade with the world,” said Mr. Duh.

The new WTC Taipei Chairman, Mr. Francis Liang, has an extensive list of past experience, including a consultant position at WTC Taipei between 1999 and 2002. Later, during his tenure as Vice Minister of Economic Affairs of Taiwan, he also held the vice-chairmanship of WTC Taipei from 2009 to 2012.

At the ceremony, Mr. Francis Liang praised the accomplishments of Dr. Wang in the past 6 years, “Chairman Wang is a renowned marketing genius and has led WTC Taipei toward wherever the market was and wherever the needs of Taiwanese companies were.”
Mr. Francis Liang also said he will develop the next potential markets, such as India, Brazil, Turkey, Eastern Europe and the Philippines. Moreover, he will continue to focus on China because the whole world is eyeing Taiwan’s biggest trading partner, and he will keep making such efforts while expanding exports to other countries.
Furthermore, Mr. Liang said WTC Taipei would continue the support to WTCA family. He also hoped the ties between WTC Taipei and all the WTCA members would be closer and stronger in the future.
