TWTC Welcomes New Management Team

TAIPEI, TAIWAN - The Taipei World Trade Center (TWTC) welcomed its new chairman on January 20, 2017.

The new TWTC chairman, Mr. James Huang, has extensive experience in building Taiwan's economic and trade ties with the world. Huang was Taiwan's foreign minister between 2006 and 2008, the first director of New Southbound Policy Office and spent a few years in the private sector business. With his experience and expertise in foreign affairs and international trade, the new head of TWTC is familiar with the organization's operations and shares its same level of dedication and enthusiasm in promoting world trade.

TWTC is one of the main trade promoting bodies of Taiwan, and Huang has promised to build on the organization's existing foundations and leverage its flexibility and advantages to deepen Taiwan's global economic participation. In welcoming its new chairman, TWTC also welcomed a new management team with Vice Chairmen Suo-Hang Chuang and Lin-Wu Kuo, President& CEO Walter Yeh, and Executive Vice President Simon Wang. The new team is marked by their experience in a wide range of fields including global marketing, exhibitions, trade policies and legislation, and is expected to combine their expertise to further TWTC's growth in the coming years.

With a business background, Huang is fully aware of the challenges Taiwanese entrepreneurs face when exploring overseas markets. According to Huang, under his watch, TWTC will continue to innovate and provide tailored services and strategies to assist the overseas marketing efforts of Taiwanese SMEs.

Going forward, Huang has emphasized that WTCA resembles a big and wonderful family and that TWTC will continue its full support of WTCA. At the same time, Huang is looking forward to deepening TWTC's bond with all members of the WTCA family.

Huang is the successor of former TWTC chairman Mr. Francis Liang who was appointed Taiwan’s representative to Singapore in January 2017.
