TWTC President & CEO Walter Yeh Wins IAEE Award

TAIPEI, TAIWAN - In December, 2016, Taipei World Trade Center (TWTC) President & CEO Walter Yeh was recognized by the International Association of Exhibitions and Events (IAEE) with the 2016 Outstanding Achievement in Industry Leadership Award. IAEE is the leading association in the global exhibition industry, and Yeh was honored for his contributions and professional commitment to the exhibitions and events industry.

Yeh was the first Taiwanese ever to receive the recognition from IAEE since the awards began in 2004. With his expertise and rich experience in the industry, Yeh is also the President of Asian Federation of Exhibition and Convention Associations (AFECA) and a member of the Global Association of the Exhibition Industry (UFI) Board of Directors.

Moreover, IAEE awarded Yeh the Certified in Exhibition Management (CEM) lifetime honorary certificate for his contributions in the field of CEM training and certification. To cultivate talents in the exhibition and event industry in Taiwan, TWTC has been providing CEM training and certification to Taiwan’s MICE personnel since 2012. Today, 124 Taiwanese MICE industry participants have been successfully certified. Taiwan current has the second highest number of CEM certified professionals in Asia, and together, they are paving a solid foundation for the future of Taiwan’s MICE industry.
