TAIPEI, TAIWAN - Hoping to facilitate the world in moving towards a sustainable future, the theme of this year's Taipei International Electronics Show (TAITRONICS) will focus on green energy and smart applications.

Co-organized by the World Trade Center Taipei and the Taiwan Electrical and Electronic Manufacturers' Association, the annual four-day TAITRONICS is scheduled to take place at WTC Taipei’s Taipei Nangang Exhibition Hall from Oct. 6 to 9.

TAITRONICS, now in its 41st year, is the leading platform for international buyers to source from Taiwan’s electrical and electronics industries, the organizers said, adding that this year’s event is expected to attract 45,000 visitors and gather a total of 530 exhibitors across 1,200 booths.

In addition to the regular showcases by the makers of electrical, electronic, and LED applications, this year the show will be joined by exhibitors from Taiwan's semiconductor and energy industries, who will be highlighting their advanced manufacturing capabilities.

There will also be one-on-one procurement match-making meetings, seminars and forums, and new product launches held during the four-day event.

In conjunction with TAITRONICS, WTC Taipei will also be organizing the eCommerce Expo Asia for the first time, aiming to facilitate the industry’s robust growth. Thanks to the popularity of mobile devices, the value of the world's mobile commerce market has soared past US$2 billion. Moreover, it has been predicted that the Asia-Pacific will become the world's largest online shopping market.

Last year, TAITRONICS attracted over 45,000 visitors from 88 countries, including heavyweight buyers with annual turnovers exceeding US$100 million such as Turkish telecommunications carrier Turkcell, Motorola Solutions Singapore PTE Ltd., and Teracom Telematica SA from Brazil.
