Jun 20, 2016

TAIPEI, TAIWAN - The 15th Taipei International Plastics and Rubber Industry Show, to be held from August 12 to 16, will feature smart manufacturing and automation, amid the increasing need for industrial competitiveness and efficiency.

Jointly organized by Taipei World Trade Center, Taiwan Rubber & Elastomer Industries Association, Taiwan Plastics Industry Association, Taiwan Synthetic Resins Manufacturers Association and Petrochemical Industry Association of Taiwan, Taipei PLAS this year has attracted over 500 local and foreign exhibitors and is expected to attract 18,800 visitors from around the world.

Taipei PLAS, the sourcing platform that is second to none in the plastics and rubber industry in Taiwan, has been expanding its range of exhibits from raw materials, molds and dies, components and parts, machineries, packaging to finished-products to fulfill buyers’ need in one stop, the organizers said.

This year’s show will include five areas: smart manufacturing, auto parts, 3C products, medical equipment and packaging. As for the smart manufacturing, elements such as autonomous robots, applications of IoT and big data will become the highlight of the show. A new exhibit area, “Automation and Robot,” will help plastic and rubber manufacturers boost production efficiency and set up “smarter” factories.

In addition to well-rounded exhibits, Taipei PLAS is packed with other promotional activities, including one-on-one procurement meetings, new product launches, seminars and workshops. The biennial show serves as a great networking hub for participants to interact and share market trends with one another.

Taipei PLAS is set to take place from August 12 to 16 at Taipei Nangang Exhibition Center Hall 1. For more information, visit the official Taipei PLAS website at https://www.taipeiplas.com.tw/en_US/index.html
