Apr 16, 2015

TAIPEI, TAIWAN - A 5-in-1 automotive and motorcycle extravaganza organized by the Taipei World Trade Center (TWTC) has successfully finished its 2015 showing on April 11, setting new records in the event’s history.

Headlining the 5-in-1 show was Taipei AMPA, the biggest automotive and motorcycle parts event in Asia. The four-day event was held in Taipei at the Nangang Exhibition Hall and TWTC Exhibition Hall and was further reinforced by four other key industry shows in Taiwan: Autotronics Taipei, Motorcycle Taiwan, Electric Vehicle Taiwan, and Tuning & Car Care Taiwan.

Both the exhibitor turnout and booth usage numbers for the 2015 show registered new records. The number of exhibitors this year grew by about 4 percent to 1,401 firms, while the number of booths used also rose by 4 percent to 3,816 standard-sized spaces. There were 205 international exhibitors at the show this year, including high profile firms from Thailand, Malaysia, China, Germany, Canada, New Zealand, Japan, South Korea, Hong Kong, the Philippines, Singapore, Indonesia, and Vietnam.

On top of the thousands of local show goers, the mega show attracted a large turnout of 6,665 visitors from 135 markets around the world. The number of visitors from Japan was the highest among all the international guests, followed by visitors from China, the United States, Malaysia, Thailand, Hong Kong, Korea, Singapore, Indonesia, and Egypt, who rounded out the top ten inbound visitors by market. In particular, the number of visitors from Egypt this year surged 88.6 percent on-year to 149 people.

On the first day of the mega show, 41 international industry heavy weights met with 125 Taiwanese firms in 301 prearranged meeting session. Together, they found a total of US$18.53 million in business, with a further US$24.4 million in possible follow-up orders.

The 5-in-1 mega show is set to return again next year, to be held from April 6 to 9, 2016 at the Nangang Exhibition Hall and Exhibition Hall 1 of the TWTC. The registration is scheduled to be started in August this year. Details will be announced on the official website www.taipeiampa.com.tw.
