MIMT & POWER Myanmar Wraps up with record business

Nov 25, 2014

TAIPEI, TAIWAN - World Trade Center Taipei hosted successfully the joint four-day trade fairs in Yangon, namely MIMT (Myanmar Int’l Machine Tool & Automation Exhibition) and POWER Myanmar (Myanmar Int’l Electrical, Electronics & Electric Power Equipment Fair). A total of 120 companies eager to showcase their finest industrial products.

The shows unfolded Nov. 13 to 16 at the Myanmar Convention Center and exceeded all expectations by attracting almost 7,000 visitors to generate business approaching US$24 million.

Both events, MIMT and POWER Myanmar strove to bring to Myanmar the best product options from 120 companies; they are mostly based in Taiwan. Their comprehensive line-up mirrored a nation rapidly coming on-line seeking the best in machine tools, industrial equipment, electrical systems, electronics, electronic components and eco-tech. Many first-time visiting Taiwan executives praised the endeavor for boosting their business.

World Trade Center Taipei is now looking at repeating these hit sustainable shows that have already dovetailed this year into three shows from last year’s single event. This confidence was highlighted last week by the more than 500 one-on-one trade meetings, the first of their kind in the republic. They are expected to help generate on-site and post-show expo business worth nearly US$24 million.

With these dual events proving a cracking success, the WTC Taipei is now putting the last touches to its plans for a full series of trade shows for next July. These will include the 4th MIMT (Myanmar Int’l Machine Tool & Automation Exhibition), the 3rd POWER Myanmar (Myanmar Int’l Electrical, Electronics & Electric Power Equipment Fair) and the 3rd Auto Expo Myanmar.

After signing huge deals last week, thousands are getting set for the shows next summer. Keep posted at https://mt.emmafair.com
